Villa Verde

A flower garden leads to the entrance of Villa Verde, clustered around a rectangular courtyard with a swimming pool. On its deck, paved with hand-cut white sandstone from Udaipur, sits a pergola with a dining area surrounded by flowers and plants. One of the pastel green heritage doors lining the courtyard leads into a spacious living area with hand-cut white and yellow zigzag flooring and exquisite ancient stone elephants. Massive arches separate the dining area, where an ancient cupboard embedded with glass paintings sits next to a white-wood dining table with matching cane chairs. Across from the pool are three bedrooms and a study. One of them has seamless honey flooring and antique twin beds embellished with paintings. Another has blue-grey flooring that continues in a deeper tone in the bathroom, with an antique oval dressing table that serves as the counter top. Up a flight of stairs is the master bedroom with Juliette balconies that offer the perfect place to soak in Villa Verde’s vintage charm.
