Interview with Vishakha Jadhav
Vishakha has over 11 years of experience in the field of law and is a graduate of Government Law College in Mumbai. She has recently joined the Isprava team and has already shown us how hard she can work! She is a huge Netflix fan and loves watching romantic comedies when she has the time.
Tell us a bit about yourself, how did you end up at Isprava?
I come from a Business background family but always had an interest in law. Having passed out from a premier Law Institute with an astute experience of working with Senior Counsels with experience in Corporate, Civil and Criminal law. After working in different Industries like Retail, Telecom & Manufacturing Industry, exploring the Real Estate was next in line. Through Isprava, I am expecting it to be a turning point of my career.
What is your role here?
I joined Isprava 6 months back as Head of Legal and with a new team to lead. My role is to overlook the entire Legal profile for the Development and Hospitality business of the Company and its subsidiaries. On a normal day, my team and I assess land titles, draft and negotiate high value commercial contracts, regulation through legal compliances and additionally, being an advisor to the Senior management on legal topics and closely working with Company Secretarial team on financial and investment matters.
What is your favourite part of your role?
Interaction with local lawyers on Title matters is something which gives me an opportunity to learn new laws, e.g. Portuguese law and rules applicable in Goa. The legal team has developed a culture of exploring and understanding local rules and procedures as Isprava is an absolute law abiding Company and believes in being complaint in every business undertaken by it.
Tell us a little bit about the culture at the office?
Having worked with established Companies, Isprava is relatively more vibrant and dynamic when it comes to the work culture. With a young team and of course a very young CEO, working at Isprava gives you a feeling of being more responsible for everything you do. Everyone at Isprava is accountable and takes responsibility for their work.
Were you always inclined toward the luxury space? If so, how do you feel it evolving in India now?
I have a background of working with one of the finest luxury Malls in Mumbai and now having the opportunity of working with the pioneer in luxury Villa development, Isprava. Luxury to me is uniqueness, which only a few can splurge on and this is the clientele Isprava caters to. Travelling has made people explore different cultures and want to reflect the exuberance in their homes and lifestyle, certainly with the luxury quotient.
Are you more a beach person who loves the energy of Goa or the tranquil calm of the lush Nilgiris?
It is the beaches and the cool air of Goa that energises me. Though Nilgiris has its own charm and gives a more vintage feeling, I am more of a party person who likes to cool off in waters very often
What does luxury mean to Isprava?
According to me, luxury is synonymous with Isprava. People often mistake sophistication with luxury. However, at Isprava, luxury is reflected through different ways; the cosiness, vintage feel, perfect mix of wood, metal and stone and world class aesthetics makes the luxury quotient very evident in all Isprava homes.
