Interview with Siddharth Sharma

He left the big city and found everything he was looking for in Goa, along with an exciting role at Isprava. We chat with him about this transition and more.
Tell us a bit about yourself, how did you end up at Isprava?
Having played a multitude of roles in my career of doing (Tv/film) production and large scale events, developing business for Creative Agencies and being a consulting CEO for a big organic farming brand, I was finally ready to say goodbye to the city and move to Goa for a better quality of life. I was looking for personal growth in a place like Goa and the opportunity to work with a company that was driven by excellence, and voila! I found Isprava. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect for me.
What is your role here?
At Isprava, I manage Operations for all the finished homes in Goa. That means looking after repairs, maintenance and upkeep of all the homes and also providing the right operational support to the rental business.
What is your favourite part of your role?
If you have seen some of our homes, you can determine the efficiency of the team that maintains them. To put that team together and to train and motivate them is something that really excites me. Goa is known to be a susegad place. The opportunity to lead a tight team that executes things within timelines is perhaps the favourite part of my role.
Tell us a little bit about the culture at the office?
There is an attitude of gratitude here. Everyone is very driven and motivated and is always in a constant effort of trying to better their own game. We communicate, collaborate and commend each other’s success.
Were you always inclined toward the luxury space? If so, how do you feel it evolving in India now?
Not sure if I was always inclined towards the luxury space, but, I definitely feel at home here. The luxury home market in India is definitely growing rapidly. Let’s face it, we love owning things. Especially homes. No reason why this space will not do better in the future.
Are you more a beach person who loves the energy of Goa or the tranquil calm of the lush Nilgiris?
Beach please.
