Beat the heat at Villa Evora

Everyone loves summer. But not everyone loves sweltering in the hot sun. How about resting in luxury’s shade, at Villa Evora – designed to make your summer days blissful and bright in all the right ways.

Tucked away in the quaint village of Assagaon, Villa Evora opens its doors to make your summer cool as ever. Isprava’s charming Portuguese-style villa features the most thoughtfully designed corners to maximise your summer experience no matter how hot it gets. Beat the heat, and swim, sip or surf your way to an amazing summer with Isprava. Practice tai chi by the villa’s expansive private pool, or relax over some freshly made pinã colada’s in the beautiful garden’s gazebo. Watch the rays of the sun pour in through the home’s beautifully crafted stained-glass window, as you read a book in the comfortable and airy living room area. That is, before getting ready to cook a cool meal in the stunning, fully equipped kitchen. Salad made of the freshest produce (read: avocado goodness) sounds like a real summer treat! The broken marble flooring inside makes the home even cooler (quite literally), as do the bright cushions that adorn the antique furniture and vibrant paintings that decorate the hand-finished walls. In the evenings, walk up the hand cut stone steps that’ll lead you to the master bedroom’s balcony. Here a cosy sit out awaits you, and stunning poolside views to charm you. Bathrooms that make a splashing statement

Dreaming of the perfect bathroom to soak away all the stress and pamper yourself in utter luxury? Isprava gives you the coolest tips from its own arsenal of style this summer.

Relaxing tubs, glamorous vanities, and sleek showers – your dream luxury bathroom is just a few tips away. From crisp and modern to luxurious and marble-clad, from the floors to the fittings, Isprava gives you the low down on how to make your bathroom the most statement making bathrooms of today. Isprava is crushing on pastels this summer. Not only do these subtle shades make a splash, but hints of gold and texture will deliver the sophisticated combination you are looking for. To give your intimate space a sleek makeover, go monochrome with your baths and basins — they add the perfect balance of drama and luxury. Complement them with feature wallpaper and larger-format mosaic tiles in cool white. If you’re looking to add some character to your bathroom, do as Isprava does, and opt for period-style bathrooms. Start with a freestanding roll-top bath, or fit a simple shower and accent it with a ceramic handled brassware. What about a boutique hotel-style sunken tub? Opt for a bateau or slipper-shaped tub — it creates the most indulgent bath experience. Spruce up the space with ultra-modern, high gloss modular furniture to give any bathroom a subtle and spacious look — including the smallest ones. Slim line wall cabinets, wall-hung units, matte finishes, metallic glamour — the works. You can take our word for it, or just visit one of our villas to be convinced.

Summer loving in Goa

Lazy days on the beach getting the most pamper-filled massages. Sipping ice-crushed mojitos sunbathing next to the pool. Devouring some Goan fried shrimp or chorizo. These are just a few of the things that will make you fall in love with summers in Goa.

How about a quiet, serene sunset cruise along Mandovi River? Or a barefoot stroll across a sun-kissed stretch of sand — the perfect therapy for your body, mind and soul. You can indulge your adrenalin-rush with a variety of water sports like parasailing, water skiing, wind surfing, banana boat rides, or for the true adventurist, scuba diving. Dreaming of the perfect summer Goan meal? How does this sound? Pork vindaloo, Goan fish curry, sorpotel, prawn balchao, bebinca all washed down with some Goan feni. That’s what we thought. To top all this off, summer is a time to discover some of the best festivals in Goa. From the street festival of folk performances, music, dance and parades in March to a festival dedicated solely to wine in April, along with a special Goan food and fruit festival — there are more than enough reasons to celebrate a summer in Goa. And while all of this sounds amazing, Isprava suggests not to miss out on the off-the-beaten-path treasures of peace. Enjoy the aroma of fresh spices at a spice plantation, hang out with elephants, enjoy stunning views and Portuguese history from Sinquerim Fort, watch Greek performances at Thalassa, explore architectural wonders at Rivona Caves or try backwater kayaking on the Zueri and Nerul Rivers. Goa’s got everything you need this summer, and then some. Stunning green landscapes. Untouched, glorious beaches to surf at. The coolest (and most romantic) beach shacks-turned picnic spots. Amazing parties. Quaint bars. The best seafood. And of course, a fine variety of Isprava villas to go back to after a long summer day and night of indulging. Just to indulge some more.

What makes Appy happy?

Great food, stunning views and the most luxurious getaways, just like Isprava promises. In conversation with luxury blogger Arpana Punjabi…

Q. As a connoisseur of luxury yourself, how would you define the word? What does it mean to you?
The word luxury for me spells comfort in style. Be it my choice of a holiday destination, fashion or lifestyle it has to be comfortable but with the frills! There should be everything available to make me feel like I’m home away from home. Today luxury has taken a new meaning, which is to make one feel relaxed in sheer style.

Q. What according to you makes Isprava special or different from the rest?
Well Isprava is very close to my heart as my own family has bought homes here. Every single home that Isprava crafts is warm, exquisite and unique. Not just that, the interaction with the entire team is very personal and they make you feel nothing less than their very own.

Q. Living the good life entails many things. How do you live the good life?
Travelling is my mantra. I love exploring the world and I have noticed with every passing year, luxury is being made more accessible. My culinary weakness is well known to my family and friends and I am happiest when I’m popping a good bottle of champagne while digging into freshly made sushi. Art has always been a passion for me and off late thanks to the fabulous Isprava concierge I’ve been buying local Goan art!

Q. What are three things that make you the happiest?
My blog - whatmakesappyhappy.
Quick unplanned get a ways with my family.
Books, books and more books.

Q. Your favourite space in the house and why?
When I am in Goa, without a doubt, it is the dining table at Villa Capela! I can look out at the beautiful serene Para Chapel for hours and be lost in wonderful thoughts.

Q. What is your fondest memory while staying at one of Isprava’s villas?
I visited in August last year, during my birthday and the Isprava team had it all planned out. Although my fondest memory was being welcomed at Villa Capela with some delectable blackies. It had me dancing in joy and was indeed the perfect start to my birthday!
